Q: What Are The Potential Risks Or Side Effects Of Egg Freezing, And How Are They Managed?
Egg freezing, also known as oocyte cryopreservation, is a safe and widely practiced fertility preservation technique. However, like any medical procedure, it does come with potential risks and side effects. Here are some of the common considerations: Mild Discomfort or Pain: During the egg retrieval process, some women may experience mild discomfort or pain. This is typically managed with anesthesia or pain relief medications administered by the medical team. Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS): In rare cases, the ovaries may respond excessively to the fertility medications used to stimulate egg production, leading to OHSS. This can cause abdominal bloating, discomfort, and in severe cases, fluid accumulation in the abdomen. The risk of OHSS is closely monitored, and steps are taken to minimize its occurrence. Bleeding or Infection: As with any surgical procedure, there is a small risk of bleeding or infection. The medical team takes precautions to minimize these risks, and post-retrieval care is provided to monitor for any signs of complications. Emotional Impact: Egg freezing may come with emotional considerations, especially for individuals who are preserving fertility due to medical reasons or personal circumstances. Psychological support and counseling services are often available to help individuals navigate their feelings and concerns. Egg Survival Rates: Not all frozen eggs may survive the thawing process. The success of egg freezing largely depends on factors like the woman's age at the time of freezing and the quality of the eggs. It's important to note that the team at RISE Fertility is highly experienced and dedicated to minimizing any potential risks or side effects associated with egg freezing. They will conduct a thorough assessment of each individual's medical history and provide personalized care throughout the process. Before undergoing egg freezing, individuals are typically provided with detailed information about the procedure, its potential risks, and the steps are taken to manage and mitigate any adverse effects. This ensures that patients can make informed decisions about their fertility preservation journey. For specific and personalized information regarding egg freezing and its associated risks, it is recommended to consult directly with the medical professionals at RISE Fertility. They will be able to provide tailored advice based on individual circumstances.

(Original) What Are The Potential Risks Or Side Effects Of Egg Freezing, And How Are They Managed?
After receiving news from another doctor that it would be impossible for me to get pregnant, I was shattered. Fortunately, I found Rise Fertility! The thought of going through the process of IVF was terrifying for me, but I am so grateful to have found Rise Fertility. They helped me have my miracle baby, and the women at Rise made me feel safe in their care. I couldn't recommend them more. I am incredibly thankful to Rise Fertility.

I came to RISE is 2023 for help from the team after I had two miscarriages. I am so very glad I did as The team was able to help me identify next steps in trying to conceive! With this help, I was able to make the decision to conceive on my own, and just had my baby boy on 6/21/24. The team at Rise helped give me the confidence to try one more time on my own before any other interventions. I felt like they had my interest in mind, and were very caring! Thank you Rise team!

10 years and five other doctors later of trying to have a baby and this is the only doctor that knew what was wrong and FIXED it! Now I have my family, and every single person I have referred to her has gotten pregnant. Dr. Ghazal has helped me and everyone I know trying! You have to see her!

I wish we had found RISE earlier in our fertility journey. The world of IVF is emotional, overwhelming, and expensive. Most of the clinics out there use a “cookie cutter” approach where every patient is put on the same regiment, even though the medical conditions of each patient is so different. RISE offers highly individualized care. Dr Ghazal would review and tweak our protocol after every success and every failure. After working our way through multiple clinics, RISE was the place that finally got us the child we so desperately wanted. Please check this clinic out before going elsewhere. I say this so you have success and avoid the hardship we experienced elsewhere.
